Creating and Deploying Projects (Core)
e Builder (Core) (intra-mart e Builder for Accel Platform (Core)) is an extension for creating and managing iAP development projects from the VSCode UI. The operations Accel CLI performs in a terminal are available from a sidebar and form screens.
What It Can Do
Open the sidebar from the e Builder icon in the Activity Bar, then choose a command and run it.
| Command | What it does | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Initialize Project (init) | Create a new development project | Creating and Managing Projects |
| Update Assets (update) | Update the placed assets to the latest template | Creating and Managing Projects |
| Switch Configuration (switch) | Change the modules, features, and agents you use | Creating and Managing Projects |
| Build (build) | Build the user module | Creating and Managing Projects |
| Deploy (deploy) | Transfer the built assets to the shared development server | Deploying to the Server |
init, update, switch, and deploy open a form screen (a tab) that proceeds in the order input → review → run → result. Build does not use a form; it runs in a terminal.
Prerequisites
Requirements common to all extensions are summarized in Overview - Prerequisites. e Builder (Core) additionally requires the following.
| Prerequisite | Details | When it is needed |
|---|---|---|
| A package manager | The build runs the build command defined in the project (such as bun run build), and a package manager is required to run it. The one you chose when creating the project (bun, npm, and so on) is used | Build |
| Java (JDK) | The build calls Maven internally. Maven runs on Java, so Java is required | Build |
| Maven | The build tool that assembles the user module (zip) | Build |
| iAP with the AI-native Development Support Feature installed | A feature that adds a mechanism for receiving assets to the destination server. For details, see AI-native Development Support Feature | Deploy |
| An API key | The credentials for connecting to the destination server. For how to issue one, see Deploying with the Accel CLI | Deploy |
| A staging | The per-developer workspace that is the deployment target. Create it on the server side in advance. For how to create one, see Staging Management | Deploy |
The package manager, Java (JDK), and Maven are tools installed when you set up your local development environment. If you have already installed them, no additional work is needed. For the installation steps, see Prerequisites and Required Tools and Installing Tools.
The extension runs build scripts, so it is disabled in an untrusted folder. For details, see Trusting the Folder.
Relationship with Accel CLI
The same operations are also available from Accel CLI (@intra-mart/accel). Either one produces the same result.
- The CLI is bundled with the extension, so you do not need to install it separately.
- The form fields are the same items the CLI asks for interactively. For what each field means, see Creating a New Project.
