Introduction

This is a documentation collection for AI-native development on intra-mart Accel Platform (iAP). It covers everything from AI-agent-driven environment setup, through tutorials that generate assets, to samples of business applications.

What Is Accel Orbit?

Accel Orbit is the collective name for the suite of features for AI-assisted development on iAP. It consists of assets that give coding agents (GitHub Copilot / Claude Code / OpenAI Codex) iAP-specific knowledge, and tools for quickly running and verifying the artifacts they generate.

ComponentRole
Accel CLICreating and migrating projects; deploying, updating, and switching the configuration of assets; deploying to iAP
Context for AI agentsGives the AI agent iAP-specific knowledge through skill sets, convention files, hooks, and type definitions
AI-native Development Support FeatureHot deployment to stagings on a shared development server, and sharing logs and annotations via MCP
Development knowledge MCP serverLets the AI agent search the product's public source code and development knowledge
e Builder (VSCode extensions)Creating, managing, and deploying projects; debugging and testing server-side scripts
Debugger moduleAccepts debug connections from VSCode on the server side
Docker StacksBuilds an iAP development and verification environment with containers
IM-Juggling libraryAutomates IM-Juggling operations (such as generating war files) through an API
Maven repositoryDistributes the libraries (parent POM, BOM, etc.) needed to build modules that run on iAP

In this documentation, the approach of developing iAP user modules with Accel Orbit is called AI-native development. For its concepts and development flow, see Overview of AI-native Development.

How to Navigate the Docs

If you are new here, we recommend reading from top to bottom. Grasp the concepts first, then set up your environment, and actually try building some assets. Mastering the tools, checking the specifications, and reusing the materials are things you can come back to whenever you need them.

  • Fundamentals — Learn the concepts. Covers the ideas behind AI-native development, the prerequisite knowledge for working with iAP, module basics, and a glossary. This is where you first get an overview of what you are about to do.
  • Environment Setup — Build your environment. Set up a user module development environment (the local development environment) on your own PC with VSCode and Accel CLI, and build a verification environment (the server environment) that runs iAP with Docker.
  • Tutorial — Try building something. Walks through the flow of auto-generating iAP business screens and workflows from a dialogue with an AI agent, together with how skill sets and hooks work.
  • Tutorial (IM-BPM / Business Process First) — Create specifications and assets. Walks through the flow of auto-generating business screens for IM-BPM from a BPMN file and a dialogue with an AI agent, together with how skill sets work.
  • AI-native Development Support Feature — Master the tools. The AI-native Development Support Feature is a feature that lets you bring assets developed locally onto a shared development server to verify their behavior. This category covers everything from its setup to its usage.
  • Using Visual Studio Code — Master the tools. Covers how to use the e Builder extensions to create and update projects, deploy to a server, debug server-side scripts, and run tests and check coverage, all from the VSCode UI.
  • Module Reference — Look up the specifications. A reference that defines the structure of an iAP module project and the formats of the various definition files, starting with module.xml.
  • Java Implementation Guide — Build it out in Java. Covers the layer structure to use when implementing a user module with the JavaEE development model, and how to use im_mirage, the database access foundation.
  • Samples — Use ready-made materials. Contains a complete set of specifications for business applications built with IM-Workflow. You can use them as-is as input examples when having an AI agent generate assets.
